Six months after the defeat of Heihachi Mishima, Jin Kazama and the rebel army Yggdrasil launch an operation against his father, Kazuya Mishima, in New York City. The mission fails when Jin loses control of his Devil Gene powers, and Kazuya openly reveals his devil form to the world. Seizing the moment, Kazuya announces a new King of Iron Fist Tournament in which nations must compete or face annihilation.
