Halo: Reach is a first-person shooter set in 2552, serving as a prequel to Halo: Combat Evolved. Players control Noble Six, a member of Noble Team, an elite squad of Spartan supersoldiers defending the human colony world of Reach from a Covenant invasion.
In the year 2552, humanity is losing its war against the Covenant, an alliance of alien races bent on extermination. The colony world of Reach, the United Nations Space Command's primary military stronghold and home to over 700 million civilians, comes under sudden attack when Covenant forces are discovered on the planet's surface. Noble Six, the newest member of Noble Team, a squad of elite Spartan supersoldiers, joins the fight to defend Reach.
